Candle Behind Glass
I can’t change the lens on my camera, nor can I change the focus for photographing subjects that are a few inches away from the screen, nor can I make the aperture any larger. So to take this shot of a candle, up close, in focus, with a small depth of field without setting my camera on fire, I used an excellent piece of equipment; a magnifying glass. I found it quite effective although it does have drawbacks; the edges of the picture can be distorted, it is hard to hold it in place throughout the shot and it can reflect some of the background.
